ABSOLUTELY!!!!  Pawsitive Savings^TM doesn’t require that your veterinarian is a member.  You can still join, receive your personalized ATM/Debit card, and earn interest on the money you are saving for your pet!  If your veterinarian is not a participating clinic/practice, e-mail us and we will contact your veterinarian.  This way you can start to enjoy the rewards and incentives that other Pawsitive Savings^TM members already have with their veterinarians and Pawsitive Partners.

Unlike pet health insurance charging an average of $50-80/month that you may or may not see again, Pawsitive Savings^TM charges a ONE-TIME $50 membership fee to join.  This covers the cost of your personalized ATM/Debit card, and all the administrative fees that go to the operation of Pawsitive Savings^TM. Typically, at the time of membership sign up, we have $50-$70 worth of coupons from our Pawsitive Partners that you can use to at your veterinarian  for various products and food.  THESE COUPONS/REBATES offset the cost of your initial membership fee!!!!  At Pawsitive Savings^TM, we are more concerned about having you SAVE and KEEP your money that you can use for your pet related expenses, versus giving it away to a third party that you will not see again.

Your Pawsitive Savings^TM Pet Health Savings account is set up with The Farmers Bank of Spencer, Iowa.  This is YOUR account with the bank, and there are NO monthly account fees. All account balances are insured under the current FDIC guidelines and there is no expiration date on the account.

These are interest bearing accounts that are tied to current market conditions, but do pay a premium rate.  Please visit www.farmerstrust.com to get additional information about the bank.

The answer is NO.  You only need one account that you use to save for your pet related expenses.  You can get additional personalized ATM/Debit cards (same photo) for $10 a piece if you need more than one card.

Once you submit the bank account application and the opening deposit, submit your pet’s digital picture to the bank via e-mail, you typically should receive your personalized card in 10-14 days.

It is not required by the bank, but is HIGHLY recommended. If you are able to deposit several thousand dollars into your pet’s account to open it up—that is great!  But, we want to make sure that your pet’s fund is growing each month!  This allows you have the peace of mind that your pet’s fund is continually growing. Plus it’s a great way to budget your money and make saving automatic and easy!

Again, this is your account with the bank, and is YOUR money.  You can use the money for whatever you decide.   Hopefully, it will be used to bring a new four-legged family member into your life!
